April 2022

Hi {{person.first_name}},

We hereby send you the newsletter for the sunny month of April. Sunny because the sun is shining and the temperature is rising, but also because we have a lot of news to share that will make you warm inside.

As you are used to from us, we start with the UNI-Solutions update. A nice overview of newly started tasks and released functions. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on your ideal user experience and interface to make surveying even easier. We also continued working on building the test environment and the basic functionalities of the UNI-Collect measuring app. They are larger projects that we will tell you more about later.

We are also happy to tell you about our integration with GOconnectIT, which OTAR Magazine has published a nice article about. A new Demo Drinks will happen on May 12 and a fantastic Roadshow in Belgium where we will visit 5 regions to tell people more about digital surveying. 1 region per day in the week of May 16-20.

We endthis newsletter with the column that colleague Jeroen Methorst wrote for the BIM register, in which he discussed the role that digital surveying plays in keeping control over your own BIM model.

Experience, interface, and extras

UNI-Solutions Update

Lately, we have been busy creating the ultimate user experience and interface. We told you about our work on your user interface and experience before, on the layout of the dashboards you see, and the user experience you have. This work will continue in the near future, you can see a preview of it above.

We have also continued building our own test environment, where new functionalities are tested and improved before they are released to UNI users. Some of the new possibilities that we will test first include various improvements to the current import and export options and an import preview for the UNI-Cloud.

As of right now, the basis of the new UNI-Collect surveying app has been broadly worked out and a number of standard functionalities are ready to be tested by ourselves – before we add improvements and extensions for you. We will of course keep you informed in future newsletters.

GOconnectIT and marXact:
an interesting infra combination

Partnership

OTAR Magazine published an article about our partnership with GOconnectIT earlier this month. Together we offer you an interesting combination with which you can accurately map where cables and pipes are (to be) located.

Our colleague Tommy van der Heijden: “There was a demand for integration with the GOconnectIT software in the field, and we and they were happy to comply. The integration was made quickly, thanks to our own API and open-source approach, allowing you to link with other apps and programs swiftly. It helps when you have two parties who both believe that the customer comes first, that their work process is the most important.”

Column BIMregister: Control regarding filling in the Building Information Model

Publicatie

Our colleague Jeroen Methorst wrote a piece for BIMregister, the platform for Dutch organizations that work with the Building Information Management model. He looked at the control you have when filling in the model and how digital surveying can help you with this.

From the column: After collecting the right information, it is time to fill in the BIM model. “You retain control here and not just because you have collected the requested information yourself. You fill in the model for that specific project yourself and distribute the information per stakeholder involved directly. This distribution of information ensures that you not only maintain control but also an overview.
