And who better to tell you how they do it, than the lead surveyor himself? Check out the video;
Heijmans chooses software that fits the user’s needs
As John Reekers explains in the video, it’s their intention to have everyone at Heijmans, whether that’s a groundworker, mechanic, the contractor, or a work planner, work with the UNI. That means that the UNI is a vital part of their measurements. To achieve that goal, it’s important to choose the software that fits the need of the user.
The UNI connects with a wide amount of software packages and in this case, Heijmans is aiming to connect the UNI over Bluetooth to MicroSurvey FieldGenius. This is the choice for the more advanced surveyor within the company. They can use the UNI with the full set of tools they are used to, while staying in a known software environment for all surveys, stake-outs and so on.
At the same time, now Heijmans is using Infrakit, they can use the UNI for simple measurements within the Infrakit environment. Making sure that everyone in the company can always be up to date on the latest work.
We are proud to see the UNI used at it’s full potential and are happy to announce that more integrations benefiting Heijmans and the user are coming up. For example with MyCumulus where we are creating a complete UNI-Cloud API based integration. With that integration users will be able to survey with simple forms. By adding centimetre accurate geodata to custom made forms while validating the position, anyone can work with it!
